Chocolates are not just for holidays. They make our normal days special and some special days extra special. Chocolate has the power to make a spin on our emotions and we feel great immediately. A couple of chocolates and candies fall into that category. Whenever I go shopping I try to avoid them but sometimes,(or many times, to be honest) Ferrero Rocher finds its place in my shopping cart. I can't stop eating Ferrero Rocher and Almond Roca. OMG! typing their names, I want to have one. Ferrero Rocher is a favorite for all of us and Nutella too! The moment this chocolate box enters the home, in a matter of hours it gets empty. I often feel like hiding them, But is it possible? Mission Impossible! It gets over as quickly as it gets home.
I made a vanilla cake with a bit of Nutella (you can add more if you prefer), some Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and finished with a glaze of Nutella and more Ferrero Rocher's adorned the cake as jewels in the crown. What is more perfect for the loved ones in the family than this cake with favorite flavors?
Next time I want to add even more chocolates. I have already added more and drizzled with Nutella as improvements, but the request came for a few crushed ones. Next time is always there. I usually use a chocolate and Nutella based cake, but my son loves vanilla cake and thought use that as a base for this cake.
This month in our #Bundtbakers group, we are sharing recipes of bundt cakes to show our love. I am posting this recipe for #Bundtbakers and Wendy is hosting this month's "Celebrating Love" event.
#BundtBakers is a group of Bundt loving bakers who get together once a month to bake Bundts with a common ingredient or theme. You can see all our lovely Bundts by following our Pinterest board. We take turns hosting each month and choosing the theme/ingredient. Updated links for all of our past events and more information about BundtBakers, can be found on our home page.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour - 1.5 cups minus 1 tbsp
Corn starch - 1 tbsp
Butter - 1/2 cup
Nutella - 1/4 cup
Heavy cream - 2 tbsp
Milk - 1 cup
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp
Sugar - 1 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Apple cider vinegar - 1 tbsp
Ferrero Rocher chocolates - 12
Nutella Glaze (use as you wish)
Nutella - 1/4 cup
Confectioner's sugar - 2 tbsp
Water - 1 tbsp
Ferrero Rocher chocolates for decorating on top
Method
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Add the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix. keep it aside. Apply butter to a 7-in bundt pan and dust with flour. Mix the Nutella and heavy cream until smooth to make the drizzle. Cream butter and sugar in a bowl till fluffy. Add the milk and vanilla. Combine. It will look curdled but will smoothen out when you mix the dry ingredients. Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Divide the batter into 3 portions. Add a layer of batter. Drizzle Nutella. Add 6 Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Pour more batter. Drizzle Nutella. Add more Ferrero Rocher chocolates and slightly push them in gently. Cover with remaining batter. Tap and few times to release air bubbles.
Bake for till a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 36-38 minutes. Cool the cake completely.
Prepare the Nutella glaze by mixing Nutella with confectioner's sugar and water till smooth.
Invert and transfer the cake to a plate carefully.
Drizzle with Nutella glaze. Add more Ferrero Rocher chocolates on top (either whole chocolates or halved, I used halves).
Serve. Optionally, serve with extra Nutella sauce.

What a fun idea to hide some Ferrero Rocher in the cake! I am not a big sweet eater but both Ferrero Rocher and Almond Roca are so good. I think it's the nuts with the chocolate I can't resist.
