This is the ultimate dip that has seven delicious layers and is the most popular and crowd pleasing one! Layered Heaven! This is easy to make and is a make ahead recipe too. Proteins, cream, and veggies are all in this delicious dip.
This is easy to make. This lip-smacking dip can also be customized as per spice level. Use Serrano peppers if you need a little kick and spicy flavor. Jalapenos are mild and this recipe is not really spicy. This is my kids favorite.
This classic dip tastes out of the world! The layers of deliciousness with a crunchy chip...mmmmmm...SO yum! This is also a make ahead dip. Make it a couple of hours to a day ahead and refrigerate. This is a versatile dip that could easily make a meal. Add this in wraps or burritos, or burrito bowls to make a hearty and satisfying meal!
Now let's see what you'll need to make this delicious layered dip.
Layer 1- Refried beans - This is the bottom most layer that is protein rich. Homemade or canned ones can be used. Trust me, making it at home is so simple and tastes amazing.
Layer 2 - Guacamole - This delicious avocado dip adds magical flavors and color to this layered dip. Keep it smooth or make it chunky, or spicy as preferred.
Layer 3 - Sour cream - dreamy heaven! Whisk the sour cream a little and then layer for smoothness. A pinch of cayenne can also be added if preferred.
Layer 4 - Lettuce - Thinly sliced Romaine or iceberg lettuce can be used.
Layer 5 - Pico de Gallo - This adds to the fresh flavors and is easy to make. Recipe follows.
Layer 6 - Shredded Cheese - Cheddar cheese works great in this recipe. If preferred spicy, habanero jack can be shredded and used here.
Layer 7 - Garnish - sliced olives, jalapenos, green onions, and cilantro are used as garnishes for this dip
The sour cream/guacamole layer can be swapped as well as the cheese and lettuce, tomato salsa layers. It is just your preference how you want it to look. I swap these now and then according to my mind on that day. Tastes perfect!
This 7 layered dip is one of our favorites and this is an inspiration to make regional flavored layered dip like the Chatpata Paneer Chole 7 Layer Dip. This Indian flavored 7 layered dip is equally delicious like the Mexican dip. This dip is one of our favorites and I always make 2 batches to make the next day's meal easier. Doubling or tripling is easier.
This is a crowd pleaser. It is loved by everyone irrespective of age group. It is easy to make any size crowd and will always be a hit. This can be made in single serve cups too! Tropical Salsa and Strawberry Salsa are great to serve with tortilla chips. These are great for summer months or any time. Cheesy corn Dip and Baked Black Bean Dip are best if you prefer to serve a warm dip.
If you love Mexican flavors, then you'll love this dip! Mexican Pasta bake, Quinoa Burrito Bowl, Sopa de Fideo, Instant Pot Slow Cooked Chipotle Corn Chowder are always loved in our home. Easy One-Pot Mexican Beans and Rice and Cilantro Lime Quinoa make an easy quick meal. Corn season is around here and I highly recommend this Elote, Mexican Street corn. These recipes will be loved in your home too!
